Looking back at previous Lough Wallball Showdown Tournaments…

This event follows the completion of a new £1milion+ Development Project in the Community and the hosting of the inaugural Lough 1Wall Showdown in August 2014. That first event saw a huge entry of 251 players across all grades with over 1000 spectators throughout the Saturday and Sunday action. See images on the links below.

The inaugural event saw World Champion, Wally Amaro, travel from Puerto Rico to claim the Mens Open Prize, defeating local hero and two times Mens Open Irish National Champion, Conor McElduff, in the final and Amaro again collected in 2016. Cork’s Catriona Casey, the All Ireland Senior and former Ladies Open National One Wall Champion, secured the honours in the Ladies Open for the first two runnings of the Tournament, 2014 & 2015, before Armagh’s Megan McCann became the youngest winner of the Open title in 2016.
