Loughmacrory GAC celebrate great year for Club at Junior levels…

Loughmacrory St. Teresa’s GAC celebrated with a packed Clubrooms of local gaels to reflect on the 2016 season for Junior players across ladies and boys football up to U16 at the weekend.
 
Presentations in both codes, as well as in Scor na n’Og took place and there was a great turnout also to see the annual players awards too.

Youth Officer Shane McCullagh reflected on a great year for the Boys across all youth levels, with significant achievements noted including the Tyrone and Ulster Cumann na mBunscoil success earlier in the year.
Kerri Grimes also introduced the managers and players at youth levels in girls football, with great numbers across the grades and of course the terrific Under 16 Grade 2 championship success being the outstanding highlight there.
In the Scor na nOg, Loughmacrory reached the County Final in five categories and all representatives were present while young Cliodhna Toner recited her brilliant recitation which saw her receive a silver medal at the county finals.
In Girls Football, individual awards went to:
  • Laura McDermott, Most Improved Player at Under 14
  • Mairead Fox, Player of the Year at Under 14
  • Niamh Fox, Most Improved Player at Under 16
  • Caitlin Conway and Grainne Gordon, Joint Player of the Year at Under 16
In Boys Football, individual awards went to:
  • Sean Kelly, Most Improved Player at Under 14
  • Gareth Donaghy, Player of the Year at Under 14
  • Conor Gallagher, Most Improved Player at Under 16
  • Antoin Fox, Player of the Year at Under 16

Well done to all on a terrific youth season in GAA in the Club.
