Good season start for Boys U16 team as championship looms

The Loughmacrory Boys Under 16 football team maintained a solid start to the campaign on Thursday last when completing the final round of matches in the league stages of this year’s Grade 2 series with a 1-16 to 1-4 victory over Pomeroy.

That win ensured a second placing in the final Grade 2A league table and will thus see the team go into the league quarter final on Thursday 1st September against Moy Tir na nOgs at Pairc an Locha.

Prior to that date though will come the opening round of the championship as the side travel this Thursday evening to Owen Roes to take on the home side in the first game of the knock-out competition.
