Loughmacrory Under 14 team remain joint top in Grade 2 league

Loughmacrory St. Teresa’s saw their unbeaten league run ended in their round 5 encounter against Pomeroy on Saturday but remain joint top in Grade 2B of the series alongside the Plunkett’s and Clann na nGael.

Pomeroy won the game in the end by 5-9 to 2-9, with Patrick Quinn of the opposing side hitting 5-8 of their 5-9 total on the day. Zak Devine and Gareth Donaghy scored the Loughmacrory goals in an entertaining game, where a decision early in the second half when the sides were level, having a major impact on the outcome of tie.

In the league so far, Loughmacrroy have defeated Newtownstewart by 5-8 to 0-4, beat Greencastle by 3-8 to 1-7, scored a 5-6 to 5-1 win over Aghyaran in round 3 and had a 6-8 to 4-5 victory over Badoney in round 4.

Next up for Loughmacrory is a round 6 test against Clann na nGael on Friday 22nd April (7pm, in Aughabrack) and a final round tie then against Dromore on Thursday 28th April at 7pm in Pairc an Locha.
