Loughmacrory Band to lead at double County Finals day 2015
The major preparations are continuing for the Loughmacrory Band as excitement continues to mount ahead of the hugely anticipated trip to the Big Apple for the St. Patrick’s Day parade in March 2016.
In the meantime though things are proving extremely busy for the Band and in the coming week there will be two major events in which the Loughmacrory Accordion Band, Páistí Ná Fingréine, will lead the teams at double Tyrone GAA Finals days. These of course are the pinnacle of the Tyrone GAA club football season in the county and is a great honour again for the band.
On Sunday 4th October at Healy Park, the band will lead the Tyrone Junior & Intermediate Football Championship Finals, where Aghaloo will meet Brackaville in the junior decider and Urney will face Edendork in the Intermediate final.
Then, one week later, on Sunday 11th October will be the blue ribband day of Tyrone gaelic games as the Senior Club Football Championship will take centre stage with the unique pairing of Killyclogher St. Mary’s facing into Trillick St. Macartan’s. The Band will again lead the teams in the pre match parade and that big game will be preceded by the Boys Grade 1 Under 16 Football Championship Final. Loughmacrory under 16 boys team remain in the hunt for an incredible grade 1 final place in that grade as they will meet Dungannon on Saturday 3rd october in the championship semi final. A win there will see them face Dromore in the 2015 Grade 1 Under 16 final, which would be a first ever appearance for the club in that tie!
Best of luck to the Band on their continued appearances at big events and in the build-up to the New York trip…
