Loughmacrory GAA Handball Club AGM on Monday 18th May
The Loughmacrory GAA Handball Club, directly after the One Wall League Tournament registration evening on Monday 18th May, will hold its AGM and reflect back on what has been a remarkable twelve months for the club.
In the past year the club has seen tremendous progress both on and off the court. A complete refurbishment of the 40×20 court, the launch of a new top class outdoor fully covered one wall handball arena and the Club collecting the “Ulster GAA Writers Handball Award” for 2014 for the first time in the club’s history, amongst the highlights off the court.
- Loughmacrory GAA Handball Club AGM
- Monday 18th May at 8pm
- in Loughmacrory St. Teresa’s GAA Clubrooms
On the court our club’s players can reflect on a year in which they brought an amazing 27 All Ireland Gold Medals back to Loughmacrory GAA Handball Club.
Since the Club’s AGM twelve months ago, on 27th May 2014, the club have gone on to win the All Ireland Féile na nGael Division 2 Boys and Girls team titles, the first time the club has completed the double, launched and organised a record breaking Lough 1Wall Showdown Tournament which had 251 players involved, saw over 1,000 spectators packed around the venue for finals day on the Sunday and had World champion, Wally Amaro from Puerto Rico meet Irish Open champion, Conor McElduff, in a fantastic Mens final and USA number 1, Catriona Casey, play Maeve McElduff in the Ladies Open Final.
A host of our juvenile players also went on to win Nationals and All Ireland titles in One Wall, 60×30 and 40×20 over the past year while, for the very first time in the club’s history, we were awarded the “Ulster GAA Writers Provincial Handball Award” in 2014. Overall the highlights have been many and what has been excellent has been the major growth in the number of juvenile and adult players now participating and the success of the One Wall Arena which has attracted so many new people into the sport in the area.
A full and comprehensive review of the season and all the successes, together with annual reports will be presented at the AGM this Monday 18th May at 8pm in Loughmacrory GAA Clubrooms.
The Club extends an open invitation to everyone in the community to come along on the evening to hear about our year in GAA Handball and plans for the season ahead.
