There will be a host of Special Guests in attendance on the day and these will include Deputy First Minister, Martin McGuinness, who will tour the facilities from 11am-12pm on Saturday 28th June. President Elect of the GAA, Aogán Ó Fearghail, will be in attendance for the official naming of ‘Páirc an Locha’ while MLA Michelle O’Neill, Minister for DARD will officially launch the new Development Project. Carál Ní Chuilín, MLA, Minister for DCAL, will also be in attendance while at the handball for the day will be GAA Handball President, Willie Roche, and President of the World Wallball Association, Joe O’Shaughnessy.
Overall, large crowds are anticipated for what will be a very special day in the community of Loughmacrory and everyone attending should note that there will be no parking available over at the facilities and that the Chapel Car Park and old football field will be used for the majority of parking on this occasion.
