Under 14 Girls Championship title win for Loughmacrory

Loughmacrory secured a first ever Under 14 Girls Championship title at Kildress on Wednesday evening, when the team defeated Stewartstown in the Grade 3 final. In a repeat of the 2013 decider, Loughmacrory were celebrating this time around as they produced an emphatic display to emerge convincing winners on a 8-15 to 2-1 scoreline.

The team, who have already won the Tyrone Grade 2 Féile Péil na nÓg title in May, will now bid to complete the Under 14 treble when they face Cappagh in the Under 14 Grade 3 Football league final next Wednesday evening 25th June.

Scorers on the evening were Michaela Curran (4-2), Mairead Fox (1-7), Grainne Gordon (2-2), Lauren Fox (0-2), Fiadhnait O’Brien (1-0), Aideen Curran (0-1), Aine Donaghy (0-1).
The squad are managed by Aidan Gordon, Maria Curran and Ciara Fox.
